After seeing Milford Sound, I looked around Queenstown for awhile. From there, I headed east to Oamaru to see the Penguins.

Queenstown is located on Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by the mountains known as the Remarkables. It's a beautiful area. It's possible to ride a gondola in Queenstown that will take you high over the city for awesome views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. To get back down, you can return on the gondola, buy a tandem parasail ride, or ride a street luge.	This photo looks out at Lake Wakatipu from the gondola rising up over Queenstown.
South of Oamaru is Moeroki. It's a quiet little village on a beautiful bay. If you make it there, be sure to try the seafood chowder in the restaurant on the waterfront. It's really delicious. But I didn't take a picture. Instead, I photographed the famous Moeroki Boulders.	Here's another shot of the boulders.
